Will the installation make a mess of my house?
No - We only install the latest wire-free alarms so the only cables we have to run are for the electricity and the phone line to the control panel. All the detection devices, including the keypad, are wire-free. Your installation engineer will leave your house as he found it.

Are your alarms Police Approved?
Yes - We only offer wire-free Class VI systems, complying with BS6799, which are ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) and NACOSS approved for monitoring. The installation is to SSAIB standards. Our systems also meet all current legislations.

What is a Unique Reference Number?
This is commonly known as the URN. You have to pay a one-off fee, currently £35, to your local police to register your monitored alarm for police response. This ensures they have your correct information in case of an emergency and also that the security company installing your alarm is police compliant.

What happens if I move?
As your alarm system is wire-free we can easily reinstall it in your new home for a fixed fee. You can, however, leave it for the new owner and receive a brand new system in your new home if they sign up to our Fully Comprehensive cover, meet our standard criteria and sign up for a minimum of 24 months.

Can I set the alarm when I am in the house?

Can the system contact mobile telephone numbers?
Yes - GRB's ARC will contact which ever number you require. However under the ACPO policy, if you are applying for a URN, your two main key holders need to give a landline number as well. Remember, mobile telephone reception may prevent connection.

Why do I need key holders?
In order to comply with Police Force Policy you are required to provide details of at least two people to be contacted in an emergency when no one is available at the Property. They must live at separate addresses within twenty minutes traveling distance of the property, agree to hold keys, be able to operate your security system and note reside at your property. Of course our first point of call will always be to one of your contact numbers.
